Emil Jurcan

Jurcan Emil is an architect, one of the cofounders of architecture cooperative „Praksa“, a member of “Pulska grupa” and Civil Initiative for Muzil. These initiatives are dealing with organizing public debate, protests, political pressure, workshops, conferences, publications and exhibitions regarding the problem of privatization of common resources, specially abandoned military sites in Pula. He presented groups work at several architectural schools in Europe and Jan van Eyck Academie Maastricht. With Pulska Grupa he took part in the Biennal of Young Artist from Europe and Mediterranean in 2008 in Bari and in the Tirana International Contemporary Art Biennale in 2009. His work was presented in several galleries such as Moma PS1 galery New York, Whitespace Gallery, Zurich and Zentrum fur kunstprojekte, Wien.
