Claire Roudenko-Bertin (born in 1958, France) defines sculpture as a “joint between thought and matter.” For this artist-researcher, a work of art “in progress” is a work that exists as much in the time that generated it as in the space it is displayed in. Her whole body of work is animated by ambitious and fundamental research: a constant questioning on both the immaterial and material states of the human being. Claire Roudenko-Bertin presented a solo exhibition at the CAPC musée d’art contemporain in 2004.
